Many of us are becoming increasingly aware that our country’s leaders are working collectively and in a bipartisan fashion, and are seeing that we are being lead in the wrong direction nonetheless.  As our economy squeezes us a little more tightly each year, this pressure which began as a friendly hug has become a suffocating constriction.  The purchasing power of our dollar decreases steadily with each passing day, and we have no reason to believe that it will ever improve.  We are beginning to sense that the personal liberties we have sacrificed in wartime may not so easily be given back to us.  And for more than five months of each year we work to unwillingly pay for the very leadership which is costing us so dearly.

We now finally recognize and accept with bewilderment that the United States is in jeopardy of no longer being the Greatest Nation on Earth.  It is becoming clear that we have allowed our yearning for improvement to be satiated by any flavor of change, but we now understand that asking for more from our Government has done nothing but increase its cost and decrease its efficiency.  We have come to realize that the only course of action that has the best hope of saving our country is that of restoring our United States to the form that was prosperous and free.

Many of us feel that our Government, by straying from its founding principles, has stopped believing in its own people and the Free Market that they create and uphold.  And, in turn, we are no longer believing in our Government.

Since the establishment of our country, we now see that never has there been a greater disconnect between our citizens and our leadership.  Never has there been a greater need for a reduction in our Government’s control over our lives and businesses than there is right now.  And never has the window of opportunity been so narrow.  We have let down our guard, and allowed our Government to change into a form which was never intended.  It must be made once again to represent the will of its people, and the plans being offered by the majority party platforms are insufficient to realize this goal.

For this reason, I seek to represent North Carolina’s ninth district in defending our liberties and our Constitution in the United States Congress.

More and more, we are beginning to take notice.

Two more of our strongest voices for liberty:

Mike Munger for NC Governor

Bob Barr for U.S. President
